Warm pasta salad 1







Has been a long while since I have made warm pasta salad . My version has always been pretty flexible. Just mix in whatever I fancy on the day, toss and serve. =) ( but I never go without scallop )

This was done last week, during the long weekend. Non meat version ( because I have forgotten to buy chicken breast) Let see if I can still remember the ingredients.

- 2 tomatoes
- 2 apples
- 2 potatoes
- Broccoli
- 1/2 pack of Penne
- Mayonnaise
- cheese cream

Sprinkle in Salt, Black Pepper and Chilli Fakes

Toss and Served

Tiramisu - 1st attempt





My first attempt at making Tiramisu. It was a little messy as you can see from the presentation. =P

Has been going around looking for Tiramisu recipe for weeks. Finally decided to settle for this one from You tube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPcAdAX3mQg

The instruction was very easy to follow and this is the only one that lightly cooked the egg york. =) Oh.... this was my very first attempt at whipping cream too. I nearly overwhipped it and turned it into butter. hm......maybe I have?!!!

Just tasted a spoonful of it, tasted alright. Feedback from the rest isn't bad either. hee.....hm.... just a note, maybe I should put in more Masala wine for next round. I hardly taste the wine right now =)

In my picnic basket




... there were celery, carrots, Japanese cucumber and capsicums. It paired off nicely with the grilled chicken and the cherries we bought in supermarket.

o.....and We bought salsa and thousand island for the dip.

Japanese Curry Rice































My first attempt at cooking Japanese Curry Rice.

With the ready made curry paste, it was really quite easy and convenience to cook it. The taste was there but I might add more chunky stuff next time. For now, it looked almost like I was cooking carrot curry. =P

一个人的晚餐





今天 心血来潮
煮了Chilli, Lemon and Parsley Linguine 来吃

不过 本来一个人的晚餐变成俩个人的
还好食材很简单

临时加一碟也不是问题



Chilli, Lemon and Parsley Linguine
( Serves 2 )
- 25o g Linguine
- Grated zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 Chilli Padi
- 5-6 tbsp Olive Oil
- 30g butter
- 1 clove garlic

Salt and pepper to taste

Method
1. Heat up olive oil in pan and add in butter to melt
2. Saute garlic in pan, follow by Chilli
3. Add in cooked linguine, lemon zest and parsley
4. Toast to coat, then serve.

Personally, I like to squeeze in more lemon juice for that extra zest =)

After thoughts : My friend sort of think that adding lemon is not a good idea. ha =) That's settled it, I will never be a cook. Coz I still think it still tastes really great.
